For many centuries the Aztec markets have been a centralized place to find a little bit of everything, from near and far. You could find everyday items to very exotic and rare treasures.
All this was brought by long distance merchants, called "Pochtecas", an elite society within the Aztec culture. To be a Pochteca, you had to be born into such families.
One of the largest Pochteca communities is Iztacalco, the community our family originates from.
I set up The Tribal Market online to be able to bring my costumers my work regardless where my travels take me to.
All work is handcrafted with quality and care.
The materials I use are natural (semi-precious gemstones, feathers, leather, etc)
I make the majority of my pieces unless otherwise noted.
